Felt Crafts in Bethlehem are a way for the marginalized communities of Palestine from those with intellectual disabilities to the Bedouin communities to express themselves to the larger community. The craft begins with wool from local sheep herders that is then cleaned, carded, died, felted, and dried. At Bethlehem Fair Trade Artisans our felt crafts are crafted by two groups, Ma’an Lil-Hayat (Together for Life) and Silver Tent Asheera. These artisans create beautiful crafts out of felt from ornaments to jewelry to figurines. In each and every single craft you can see their passion, creativity and joy for what they are doing.
